Summer Dance Recap & New ARB Apprentices
This summer, our amazing and dedicated dancers participated in the Opus summer intensive program to strengthen their skills. This program is designed to help our dancers grow physically and creatively while preparing for our annual Concert in the Park Performance. Students trained daily in multiple ballet, tap, jazz, modern, pointe, and hip hop classes. We believe that our dancers should be well rounded and exposed to various styles that will benefit their dance careers. Summer was the perfect time to focus on improvement while also enjoying time at the studio with friends. We are so proud of all those who attended and we thank you for spending part of your summer with us.
Over the summer, we hold our annual Company auditions. We would like to welcome our new apprentices, Alysia Benedek, Abbigale Crist, Emma Karl, Kinsley Kline, Milo McDonald, Dylan McQuate, Emersyn Metheney, and Gianna Sinchock. We would also like to welcome our newest ARB trainee, Adalyn Studer. This is an incredible achievement that our dancers work very hard to earn. Congratulations to all!
Many of our ARB company members went away this summer to study at prestigious ballet schools including Ballet Magnificat, Cincinnati Ballet, Boca Ballet Theatre, Washington Ballet and more. These audition only programs are a great way for our older dancers to gain experience in the professional setting. It is amazing to see how much they have grown artistically and the knowledge they have attained while away. For those wishing to pursue dance beyond high school, this was a great opportunity to be seen and critiqued by Masters in the field of dance.
We hope to see all of you back in the studio this upcoming fall for more exciting classes and performances such as Choreography Showcase and The Nutcracker. We look forward to another great season
